New Build Construction

With over 30 years’ experience in the building industry, New Build construction has been a significant part of our business.

We are NHBC registered house builders (NHBC Registration Number 80936) and regularly construct individual new build homes.  As registered house builders all new build homes we construct are inspected and guaranteed for 10 years by the NHBC.

We handle the whole process from initial surveys and consultations to groundwork, planning and the actual build itself; we will take care of everything for you.

There are six stages to every new build. They are:

  1. Planning and Design
  2. Structural Work
  3. First fix (Plumbing, electrical work, carpentry)
  4. Second fix (Sockets, taps, wall tiles and decoration)
  5. External Works
  6. Finals

Whatever your requirements and needs, we guarantee that you will be proud of your new development for many years to come.

We can either carry out your New Build under the supervision of an architect/surveyor or we are able to offer our own project management service.

We have won work by taking prospective clients to previous jobs and we have a number of local architects and surveyors who regularly invite us to price work.  Repeat enquiries of this nature are important to our business, and a mark of our quality and reliability.

One of the most important aspects when it comes to choosing a builder, is what experience they have in your local conditions. Oakwood Builders and Developments have been building houses in and around the Hart area for over 30 years and have a considerable depth of knowledge in issues such as building on clay and in the sorts of materials that are likely to be specified by your architect and by building regulations.

We always keep abreast of the most up to date and innovative building techniques, especially when it comes to sensitivity to the environment and making sure your new build is future proofed with regards to its energy efficiency and longevity.
